Choose an item or part of a bundle
For a bundle, tick the available items you want. A partial selection uses their individual prices. Selecting every original item, or choosing Buy whole bundle, uses the discounted whole-bundle price. Buying all remaining items after another item has sold does not restore that discount. Review the selected items, any fee shown and the full total before choosing card or cash.
Card: 1. Find and agree a price
Browse nearby items and message the original owner. Any Buyer offer is legally made to Shukaroo; Shukaroo separately records the owner’s agreed Supply Price. An accepted offer alone does not reserve the item.
Card: 3. Owner confirms, then Shukaroo charges
The owner enters a Supplier Agreement with Shukaroo for the displayed Supply Price. Shukaroo then captures the authorized amount. Only successful capture confirms and reserves the order; otherwise the authorization is released.
Card: 4. Inspect and complete pickup
Arrange pickup with the original owner. Inspect before sharing the code. The owner confirms physical handover and enters the code. Ownership then passes first from the owner to Shukaroo and immediately from Shukaroo to you.
Cash, where offered: reserve and wait for confirmation
Choose Reserve now — pay cash at pickup only when that option is shown. The request does not charge a card or record a cash payment. The seller confirms the amount and their cash-sale responsibilities before the saved pickup address is revealed to you. Then agree a pickup time together. Card payment remains an alternative when choosing how to buy.
Cash total and the seller’s responsibility
When enabled, the Seller guarantee fee is added to the item price or selected bundle price. The seller keeps this fee for their promise to handle any refund they are legally required to give promptly and directly with you, including for a faulty item or another serious issue. When the fee is disabled, the cash total is the item price only; the seller’s legal refund duties still apply. Existing reservations keep their agreed fee and total even if the setting later changes.
The cash sale is between you and the seller; Shukaroo provides the listing, reservation, chat and pickup coordination, not the sale or collection of cash. Shukaroo’s card-payment Buyer Protection does not apply to cash. The Seller guarantee fee setting is separate from the option to reserve with cash and does not change card fees. Contact the seller about a cash refund; you can still report an unsafe or misleading listing to Shukaroo. Nothing here limits mandatory legal rights or responsibilities.
Cash pickup: inspect, pay and record the handover
Inspect the item in person before paying the displayed cash total to the seller. Do not send an advance transfer. At handover, the seller shows the pickup code and the buyer enters it. The seller can instead record that the cash was received and the item handed over. This records coordination; it is not a Shukaroo receipt or verification of cash payment. A missing code does not create an automatic charge, refund, penalty or relisting. Existing cash reservations can still be completed if the option is later turned off.
For sellers: card stays available and bank details are still required
Cash is an optional addition, never a replacement for card payment. Complete your bank details before a paid item or bundle can go live, so Shukaroo can pay you when a buyer chooses card. When the fee is enabled, the cash-option notice shows the exact Seller guarantee fee once your bank details are ready; until then it explains that the amount will be calculated after you add them. When the fee is disabled, no fee is added, but bank details are still required. For a bundle, set an individual price for each item and a lower price for all original items together.
Free items stay free and direct
For an item marked Free, reserve it and wait for the seller to confirm before viewing the saved pickup details. No payment or Seller guarantee fee applies. The owner gives the item directly to the recipient; follow the free reservation’s pickup instructions.
