- Use Shukaroo’s card checkout, or choose Reserve now to pay cash at pickup where offered. Do not send an advance bank transfer for a cash reservation.
- Never send identity documents, full card details or bank credentials in chat.
At pickup
- Inspect condition, completeness and basic operation before paying cash or sharing or entering the pickup code.
- Follow the instructions for your payment choice. For cash, the seller shows the pickup code and the buyer enters it after payment and handover; the seller can instead record that cash and handover are complete.
- Do not enter a home if you are uncomfortable; agree a doorway or public handoff when practical.
- Leave immediately and contact emergency services if anyone is at risk.
Protect private information
Never put a phone number, full address, payment information or pickup code in a public listing. The saved pickup address is revealed through the reservation only after the required confirmation. If you choose to share contact details in a private conversation, consider who can read them and share only what you are comfortable sharing. Report pressure to send advance payments, share sensitive documents or accept an unsafe handoff.
