1. Who operates Shukaroo
Shukaroo is the trading name of Chaya Sara Pearlman, an individual business operator, at 12 Ohr Elchanan, Jerusalem, Israel. Customer support and online support: support@shukaroo.com; telephone: +972 50 980 3498. The Israeli identification/dealer number appears immediately below as part of this versioned Terms publication.
“Shukaroo”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that individual operator; Shukaroo is a trading name and is not a separate company or legal person. These Terms apply to paid items located and collected in Israel.
Returns must be sent only to the return location or by the reasonable method Shukaroo gives for the relevant order. Contact support before sending an item; the business address is the registered-post and in-person cancellation-notice address, but is not automatically a return authorization.
Israeli identification/dealer number: 7700307723
2. Definitions
“Buyer” or “Customer” means a person who orders a Paid Item from Shukaroo. “Original Owner” or “Supplier” means the person who offers to supply an item to Shukaroo and may be called the “seller” in the interface.
“Supply Price” means the fixed amount Shukaroo agrees to pay the Supplier. “Retail Price” means the total amount Shukaroo charges the Buyer. A “Paid Item” is offered through Shukaroo’s paid checkout. A “Free Item” is clearly marked free and transferred without either price.
“Pickup Code” means the order-specific code or another authenticated method approved by Shukaroo to record pickup completion. “Supplier Agreement” is the separate contract between Shukaroo and the Original Owner. “Retail Agreement” is the separate contract between Shukaroo and the Buyer.
- “Valid Pickup Completion” occurs only after both correct pickup-code validation (or an approved authenticated alternative) and actual physical handover after a reasonable opportunity to inspect. If they happen at different times, completion is the later event.
3. Acceptance and contractual records
These Terms contain general terms applying to every user, Supplier Terms applying when an Original Owner lists, confirms or supplies an item, and Buyer Terms applying when a Buyer places an order.
By creating an account, submitting a listing, confirming availability, completing pickup or placing an order, a user agrees to the relevant portions. Where Shukaroo presents a separate checkbox or confirmation, it must be accepted before continuing.
Shukaroo may keep reasonable evidence including the complete incorporated Terms version and digest, the exact action disclosure, account, item, Supply Price, Retail Price, locale, date and time, action record, payment record and pickup record.
4. The legal structure of a Paid Item
Each completed paid transaction has two genuine, separate contracts: the Original Owner sells the item to Shukaroo for the Supply Price, then Shukaroo sells it to the Buyer for the Retail Price. Ownership passes in that order, even if both transfers are recorded moments apart. Shukaroo need not store or physically possess the item; the Original Owner may hand it directly to the Buyer as pickup contact.
- The Supply Price is a separate debt, not a share, trust, escrow or beneficial interest in the Buyer’s payment.
- The Buyer pays Shukaroo. After Valid Pickup Completion, Shukaroo separately owes the Supplier the Supply Price.
5. Accounts and eligibility
Users must be at least 18, provide complete and accurate current information, promptly correct inaccuracies, keep credentials and pickup codes secure, use the service lawfully and cooperate with reasonable identity, ownership, tax, fraud, payment and safety checks.
Impersonation, unauthorized use of another person’s payment or bank account, misleading accounts and interference with Shukaroo’s systems are prohibited. Shukaroo may require evidence of identity, address, ownership, bank-account ownership or tax status before confirming a transaction or sending a Supplier payment.
6. The legal side of listing
Submitting a Paid Item listing is a standing conditional offer by the Original Owner to sell that identified item to Shukaroo for the displayed Supply Price if the later required stages occur. Listing alone does not transfer ownership, require an immediate purchase or reserve the item for an unconfirmed order.
Before confirming availability for a particular order, the owner may withdraw the listing or sell elsewhere, but must promptly remove or update an item that is sold, lost, damaged or unavailable. Shukaroo may accept, reject, edit, pause or remove a listing and is not required to offer every listed item to Buyers.
7. Listing accuracy and Supplier warranties
The Original Owner must use accurate photos and an honest, sufficiently complete description. They warrant ownership and clean title; lawful transfer; no stolen, counterfeit, recalled or prohibited item; disclosure of every known material defect, damage, repair, missing part and safety concern; accurate brand, model, size, age, authenticity and operation; removal of personal data and device locks; unchanged condition until pickup; and no infringement of third-party rights. Accurately shown ordinary wear is not undisclosed.
8. Supply Price and Retail Price
The Supply Price and Retail Price are separate contractual amounts. The Supplier agrees the Supply Price; Shukaroo determines the Retail Price, which may include margin, protection costs, promotions, payment costs and required taxes or charges. The Buyer sees the total before checkout.
The displayed Supply Price is the amount Shukaroo owes after Valid Pickup Completion, subject only to an established independent Supplier breach or a deduction required by law. A Buyer’s offer is legally to Shukaroo; Shukaroo may separately ask the owner to accept a revised Supply Price. That acceptance does not create a direct Buyer–Owner contract.
A discount or refund funded by Shukaroo does not reduce the Supply Price unless the Original Owner separately accepts a revised Supply Price before the Supplier Agreement is confirmed.
9. Buyer checkout
At checkout the Buyer offers to buy from Shukaroo for the displayed Retail Price, accepts the Buyer Terms and authorizes the payment provider to reserve that amount. This is an authorization, not a completed charge, although a bank may show a pending amount and reduce available balance. It does not guarantee acceptance. Shukaroo attempts capture only after the Original Owner confirms availability, and the Buyer must keep sufficient funds available.
10. Confirming availability
The Original Owner confirms continued ownership, availability, listed condition, ability to supply within the stated pickup period and acceptance of the displayed Supply Price. This creates the separate, binding Supplier Agreement for that identified item and price.
Shukaroo then promptly attempts capture, and the Original Owner must keep the confirmation open during that immediate attempt. Confirmation and capture must complete within the exact 24-hour confirmation window shown for the order and before the provider authorization expires. If capture succeeds in time, the item must be reserved and supplied; otherwise the Supplier Agreement ends unless expressly extended.
No ownership transfers merely because availability was confirmed. Ownership and the obligation to pay remain conditional on Valid Pickup Completion. These pre-pickup conditions do not make the Supply Price, once the item has been supplied, dependent on Shukaroo retaining or collecting the Buyer’s payment.
11. Successful capture and order confirmation
Only successful capture confirms the Retail Agreement and the pickup order. Shukaroo then notifies both parties, reserves the item and provides necessary pickup information. The Original Owner must keep the item exclusively reserved and unchanged, must not sell, give away, promise or substitute it, and must reasonably arrange pickup and report problems. Until Valid Pickup Completion, the Original Owner retains ownership and safekeeping responsibility.
12. Failed or expired authorization
If capture fails or authorization expires, the Retail Agreement is not confirmed, the Supplier Agreement ends unless expressly extended, no ownership transfers, no Supply Price is due, no exclusive reservation begins and private pickup details are not released. Shukaroo will cancel or release the authorization, but the Buyer’s bank may take longer to remove a pending amount and Shukaroo may invite a new checkout.
13. Pickup and inspection
The Buyer and Original Owner may arrange a reasonable and safe pickup. Before providing or completing the Pickup Code, the Buyer should see the actual item, compare it with the listing, check visible condition, size and included parts, test basic operation where reasonably possible, and decline the item and contact Shukaroo if an apparent material problem exists.
The Original Owner must not request, obtain or enter the Pickup Code before the item is physically being handed over. Inspection and code completion do not waive any hidden-defect, misrepresentation, safety, statutory-cancellation or other right Israeli law does not permit the parties to waive.
14. Valid Pickup Completion
At Valid Pickup Completion the Original Owner sells to Shukaroo, ownership passes to Shukaroo, Shukaroo immediately completes the retail sale and ownership passes to the Buyer; the Supply Price then becomes a fixed debt. Risk passes only after both handover and code validation. The Original Owner attests that the listed item was handed over after reasonable inspection and remained in its confirmed condition. Fraud, coercion, material misrepresentation or a code without physical handover is not valid completion. Shukaroo may authenticate an alternative after a verified technical failure.
15. Cancellation, failure or no-show before pickup
Before Valid Pickup Completion the Buyer may cancel from the order. If pickup never completes, ownership stays with the Original Owner, the supplier purchase does not complete, no Supply Price is due and the reservation may be released. Shukaroo handles the Buyer’s authorization, charge or refund under these Terms and Israeli law.
If Shukaroo or the Original Owner cannot supply for a reason not caused by the Buyer, Shukaroo cancels and provides the refund required by law. A refusal or failure by the Original Owner to supply a confirmed item may breach the Supplier Agreement.
If the Buyer cancels or does not attend, Shukaroo may apply only a consequence permitted by Israeli law. The Original Owner does not earn the Supply Price merely for reserving the item. Shukaroo may separately offer reservation compensation only where expressly stated.
16. Supplier payment
At Valid Pickup Completion the Supply Price becomes Shukaroo’s fixed trade debt. The in-order 24-hour Fast Problem Review remains open, and Supplier payment is not submitted before that window closes. Automated submission also waits for exact evidence that the Buyer’s captured payment has settled and is available in Shukaroo’s Financial Account, complete verified payout details and no unresolved timely serious-problem report, refund, dispute, legal restriction or binding provider restriction that makes submission unsafe. Shukaroo must resolve any such blocker and submit the payment instruction no later than 12 days after Valid Pickup Completion; that is the hard outside initiation deadline and a blocker does not extend it. “Initiate” means submit the payment instruction; banks, weekends, currency conversion, compliance and provider processing may delay arrival. A later Buyer complaint, cancellation, return, refund, chargeback or provider loss does not by itself reverse, reduce or cancel the Supply Price; Shukaroo bears those customer-facing and payment risks.
17. Independent Supplier breach and recovery
Shukaroo may investigate independent evidence of no title, fraud, deliberate misrepresentation, stolen, counterfeit, recalled or prohibited goods, a materially inaccurate description, a known undisclosed defect, substitution, post-confirmation damage or false handover. A Buyer complaint or chargeback alone is not proof. Where reasonable evidence establishes breach, Shukaroo may lawfully recover direct foreseeable loss or set off only the related disputed amount and must pay any undisputed amount. The Supplier does not administer the Buyer’s refund or chargeback.
18. Payout accounts, currencies and fees
Supplier payment is made only to an eligible bank or payment account in the Original Owner’s name unless another lawful arrangement is expressly approved. Availability of a country, bank, currency or method depends on provider rules. Supply Price is in Israeli shekels unless another currency is expressly displayed and accepted.
Where conversion is required, Shukaroo discloses its conversion method and any deduction before confirmation and bears its own undisclosed sending fees; a receiving or intermediary bank may impose its own fee. Correct submission through the disclosed method satisfies Shukaroo’s payment obligation, subject to correcting a failed or returned payment.
Incorrect, incomplete or mismatched payout information may delay payment but does not extinguish an accrued Supply Price debt.
19. Supplier tax status and records
The Original Owner must accurately state whether supply is private or business activity. Each party handles its own registration, tax, invoicing, reporting and records. A Supplier legally required to issue Shukaroo an invoice, receipt or other document must do so. Unless stated otherwise, Supply Price includes tax the Supplier must charge. Shukaroo may withhold only where law requires and will provide required records.
20. The Buyer’s contract with Shukaroo
Shukaroo is the contractual seller of each current-model Paid Item and provides legally required identity, contact, item description and principal characteristics, total Retail Price and payment terms, pickup and supply arrangements, available warranty information, cancellation and return information and other required transaction information. Listing information originating with the Original Owner does not remove Shukaroo’s responsibility to the Buyer.
21. Customer support and Fast Problem Review
Questions and claims about the Buyer’s payment, order, product, cancellation, return, refund or legal rights must go to Shukaroo. The Buyer should report as soon as reasonably possible through the order if an item is materially different, has a significant undisclosed defect, is missing a promised part, appears counterfeit or raises a serious safety or ownership concern.
The Buyer should keep the item and relevant packaging where reasonable, stop using it if continued use may cause danger or damage, and provide reasonable photographs or information. The Original Owner receives only a privacy-safe category notice and 48 hours to respond; the Buyer’s description, contact details and private evidence are not shared with them.
The in-order 24-hour Fast Problem Review is an additional expedited service. It does not replace, shorten or restrict any cancellation, conformity, hidden-defect, safety or other right under Israeli law. Supplier payment is not submitted before that fast window closes, and a timely unresolved serious-problem report may temporarily hold safe submission while Shukaroo investigates. The report does not by itself erase or reduce the Supply Price. A later report is handled through ordinary support and applicable law and does not reverse an accrued Supplier debt.
22. Israeli consumer cancellation rights
Nothing limits a mandatory right under Israel’s Consumer Protection Law, Sale Law or other law. Where a statutory distance-sale right applies, a Buyer may generally cancel from formation until 14 days after receiving the item or required transaction document, whichever is later; legally qualifying people with a disability, senior citizens or new immigrants may have a longer period. For an eligible change-of-mind cancellation Shukaroo may charge only the lawful fee, generally the lower of 5% or ₪100. No fee applies for defect, nonconformity, late supply or another Shukaroo breach. Statutory exceptions remain.
23. How to cancel
A Buyer may send a cancellation notice through any legally required channel. Before Valid Pickup Completion, the dedicated website method is the “Cancel order” action inside the relevant Shukaroo order.
The grouped cancellation channels are listed below. Shukaroo does not publish a fax channel. For in-person delivery, arrange access in advance through support; no opening hours are represented where none have been established.
The notice should include the Buyer’s name, identification number where legally required, and enough order information to identify the transaction. Shukaroo will confirm and process cancellation and refund within the period required by law.
- Website: use “Cancel order” in the relevant order before pickup; if that action is unavailable, use another channel below.
- Email: support@shukaroo.com.
- Telephone or oral notice: +972 50 980 3498.
- Registered post: Chaya Sara Pearlman, trading as Shukaroo, 12 Ohr Elchanan, Jerusalem, Israel.
- In person by prior arrangement through support: the same address.
24. Returns, refunds and returned ownership
For a lawful change-of-mind cancellation, the Buyer returns the item to Shukaroo by the reasonable method and location instructed, subject to law. For defect, nonconformity, failure to supply or another breach, Shukaroo bears or arranges return duties required by law and refunds within the applicable period. On completed return, ownership passes back to Shukaroo. This does not automatically reverse Shukaroo’s completed Supplier purchase; the Original Owner repurchases only by a voluntary separate agreement or an established Supplier-breach right.
25. Payment disputes and chargebacks
The Buyer should contact Shukaroo promptly and may not keep both a Shukaroo refund and chargeback for the same amount. Suspected unauthorized payment should be reported to the card issuer and Shukaroo. The Original Owner does not administer or bear Buyer chargebacks; Shukaroo bears them unless it separately proves an independent Supplier breach causing recoverable loss.
26. The Original Owner’s operational role
For familiar UX, profiles, reviews, messages and buttons may call the Original Owner the “seller”. Where legal role matters, Shukaroo is the seller and that person is the original owner and pickup contact. They may answer factual item questions, arrange pickup, permit inspection and complete the pickup code. They may not change Shukaroo’s Retail Agreement, collect Retail Price, promise or refuse a refund, waive Buyer rights, admit liability for Shukaroo or claim the Buyer purchases directly from them.
27. Prohibited and high-risk items
Users must follow the Shukaroo Prohibited Items Policy in the Help Centre. Illegal, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, materially unsafe or sale-prohibited items may not be listed or supplied.
Shukaroo may prohibit or require additional checks for regulated or high-risk categories including weapons, medicines, food, cosmetics, electrical or gas products, infant-safety equipment and other products presenting legal or safety concerns. Shukaroo may remove a listing, decline an acquisition, cancel an order or report suspected unlawful conduct to an appropriate authority.
28. The different structure of Free Items
The paid reseller structure does not apply to an item clearly marked Free unless expressly stated. No Retail Price or Supply Price is charged, Shukaroo does not acquire or sell it, and the original owner transfers it directly to the recipient. Shukaroo provides listing, communication and reservation tools only. The relevant screen identifies this different structure.
29. Reviews, messages and user content
Users must communicate honestly and respectfully and must not submit unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, fraudulent or irrelevant content. Reviews must concern a genuine transaction or interaction.
A review of a “seller” concerns the Original Owner’s listing accuracy, communication and pickup handling and does not change Shukaroo’s seller status. Users keep ownership of submitted content but grant Shukaroo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt, moderate and display it as reasonably needed to operate, protect and promote the service.
A user must hold every right needed for submitted photographs, descriptions and other content.
30. Privacy and pickup information
Shukaroo processes information under its Privacy Notice in the Legal Centre. Limited contact and pickup information may be shared between Buyer and Original Owner where reasonably necessary. Shukaroo may retain acceptance, transaction, identity, payout, fraud, tax and dispute records for periods reasonably required by law and legitimate business needs.
31. Third-party payment providers
Third parties process card authorization, capture, refunds and Supplier payment and may apply security, country, timing and technical rules. Their involvement does not change the structure: the Buyer pays Shukaroo for its retail sale, Shukaroo separately owes Supply Price after Valid Pickup Completion, and the Original Owner has no entitlement to a particular Buyer payment. Further details about the owner of the Stripe account used for payment processing can be obtained by contacting support@shukaroo.com.
32. Service operation and enforcement
Shukaroo may moderate or remove content, request identity or ownership evidence, refuse an item or transaction before acceptance, suspend an order for safety or fraud, restrict an account, correct an obvious technical or pricing error and take reasonable steps required by law or a provider. Shukaroo does not guarantee an order, completed pickup or successful payment for every listing.
33. Liability and mandatory rights
Nothing excludes a mandatory consumer right, fraud or deliberate-misconduct liability, bodily-injury liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other non-excludable liability. Subject to those protections, Shukaroo is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable at contract formation. The Original Owner remains responsible to Shukaroo for Supplier warranties and description accuracy; Shukaroo remains responsible to the Buyer under the Retail Agreement and Israeli law.
34. Suspension and termination
Users may stop using Shukaroo subject to existing obligations. Shukaroo may reasonably suspend or terminate for safety, fraud prevention, non-payment, repeated cancellation, breach or legal compliance. Termination does not affect a completed transaction, accrued payment or refund, earlier claim or a provision intended to survive.
35. Changes, communications and records
Terms may be updated prospectively. The version accepted for a Supplier or Retail Agreement governs that transaction unless law requires a change or affected parties expressly agree. Material changes will be communicated reasonably. Confirmations, transaction documents, notices and contractual information may be provided electronically through the website, account, email or supplied contact details; users must keep details current.
36. Assignment, severability and no waiver
A user may not transfer confirmed-transaction rights or duties without written consent. Shukaroo may transfer the business or contracts to a lawful successor without reducing mandatory Buyer rights or accrued Supplier payment rights. An unlawful provision applies to the maximum lawful extent and the rest continue. Delay enforcing a right is not waiver.
37. Israeli law and courts
These Terms and every Supplier and Retail Agreement are governed by Israeli law and disputes are subject to Israel’s competent courts. This does not remove a consumer’s mandatory right to bring a claim in a court or place permitted by law.
